ya’ll, i’ll be honest— i feel like i would’ve hated the 80’s based on the music, yet i can’t help but love 80’s influenced music.  something about the soft synths and heavy reverb just makes music seem more personal and beautiful, and i feel like Actress exploits this perfectly.  this song, Purple Splazsh, from his sophomore album Splaszh, sums up what i love about Actress.  it’s repetitive without overstaying it’s welcome, easy to dance to, easy to chill to—just easy, all around.  ya’ll, give Actress a listen; you won’t regret it.
