i’m back, ya’ll!

first off, a quick sorry for the three of you who might or might not have noticed my sudden disappearance from tumblr.  as my summer wound down and college grew near, i found myself limited on time.  sorry!  but hey, i’m back with all  new music, so yeah.  suck it.

Jaga jazzist is another hard band to dsecribe.  at their core, they are a ten piece jazz set-but that’s not it.  Jaga Jazzist has also found a way of adding electronics to their music that make it a whole new listening experience.  this isn’t cliche new age jazz-electronica fusion  (i.e., kenny g with synth pads)-this is electronic jazz.  

Animal Chin is a great song for many reasons, but i’m not sure how to explain it.  it’s more than the infectious, upbeat melody; it’s more than the idm glitches sprinkled on top; it’s more than it’s sick wall-of-sound breakdown.  it’s just that-more than the sum of it’s parts.  give it a listen, you won’t regret it.
